About Us
Welcome to Casita The Curtain Workshop as a Soft Furnishings business we have been established now for fourteen years in Carnoustie. My name is Joan and I had been making curtains as a hobby before starting Casita in 1997. It all started in the loft of our family home and three years later we moved into an attractive shop in the High Street, a large client base was successfully built up as Casita became known locally as 'the curtain shop'. In 2009 we moved into this lovely garden studio workshop and as I had hoped, business has now turned around offering a much more personal service with lots of flexibility for home consultations.
Casita's clients come from all over Angus and Tayside, Dundee and surrounding areas although throughout the years we have had our curtains hanging in various countries abroad.
On Our Services and Products page you will see that we Make to Measure all our Curtains and Soft Furnishings on-site in the workshop and that our Roman Blinds have become quite a speciality over the years. We also stock a large variety of fabric samples to choose from.
On Courses page you will learn all about our Curtain Making Courses, introduced in 2010 our courses have been a great success with students of all ages coming from all over Scotland to share the skills and techniques of curtain making with Casita.
